One of the most exciting players in Europe at the moment, Ribery made his Bayern Munich debut in an 18-0 victory in pre-season and his time in Germany has carried on in a similar vein since then.
Ribery joined Bayern last summer from Marseille and he has won both the Bundesliga and German Cup during his first season at the Allianz Arena, although his side were spectacularly knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Zenit St Petersburg.
Despite only being 25-years old, Ribery has already played for seven clubs, including a spell in Turkey with Galatasaray. However it was at the 2006 World Cup where he made his name.
Ribery impressed throughout the tournament and scored France's first goal in their 3-1 victory over Spain in the last 16 and he has managed to use the competition as a springboard to establish himself as a key member of Raymond Domenech's side since then.
Because of his exciting play and combative style, Ribery has been compared by many people, including legendry keeper Oliver Kahn, to Zinedine Zidane.
Although he may not quite be at the level of the three-time FIFA World Player of the year just yet, there is no doubt that if Ribery performs to his best he could be one of the stars of the summer.
